But what does a GIA certification mean? If you do not know about the GIA certification how will you be able to make your purchase? GIA stands for Gemmological Institute of America. GIA is responsible for carrying out an unbiased professional examination of every stone placed for testing. Gemmologists evaluate the stone and prepare a document about the standard of reliability, consistency and integrity of the stone being tested. And remember don’t get fooled with some inauthentic certificate provided by a retailer, always look for an official GIA certificate.

This certificate is very helpful and useful if you want to resell your diamond then this certificate is of significant importance or maybe you lose your diamond then the certificate might help you a lot in finding your diamond back.
